Despite advice from the governor, the president of the Connecticut motor transport association and state police, some truckers still hit the highways this morning.
One truck was getting a little too close to a group of plow trucks on I-95 in Old Lyme. News 8 Reporter Kent Pierce summed it up as "driving while stupid."
Cars, trucks, SUVs were all getting into trouble if they dared to go out onto the highways. State police spokesman Lt. J. Paul Vance said this morning police had responded to more than 500 requests for assistance, meaning vehicles that became stuck, disabled or which had spun-out.
Here is the video...State Police held over the midnight shift and called the morning shift in early to deal with the storm.
